 Wireless Security None Mode

WEP can be used with the Wireless security None mode.

To enable WEP, WEP and WEP KEY settings are required.

The first WEP KEY setting is the encryption key, which can be set from WEP KEY 1 to 4.

After setting the encryption key, the encryption key used is specified by setting the TRANSMIT KEY.

Refer to “Chapter 5 Communication” – “5.2 Wireless Communication” for details of the WEP KEY and

TRANSMIT KEY.

1. Select “2: CONFIGURATION” in the SET SECURITY menu and

then press the ENT key.

The screen on the right is displayed.

[1: WEP OPTION]: WEP option settings

[2: WEP KEY1]: WEP KEY 1 settings

[3: WEP KEY2]: WEP KEY 2 settings

[4: WEP KEY3]: WEP KEY 3 settings

[5: WEP KEY4]: WEP KEY 4 settings

[6: TRANSMIT KEY]: TRANSMIT KEY settings

Press the BS/C key to return to the SET SECURTIY menu

2. Use the cursor keys ([▲] [▼]) or numerical key ([1]) to highlight [1:

WEP OPTION], and then press the ENT key.

The screen on the right is displayed.

[1: WEP]: Selects whether to enable or disable WEP.

The highlighted setting is the current setting.

[2: AUTHENTICATE]: Selects open system settings or shared key

authentication.

Select shared key authentication.

The highlighted setting is the current setting.

3. Press the ENT key or BS/C key to return to the SECURITY CONFIG menu.
